it’s a pretty minor bugfix, but it also makes one of the more annoying parts of the start of the game more playable (as it was originally meant to be).
i’ve been on vacation since last saturday and it’s been fun so far. got the classic nes gba sp and it’s awesome. the controller part of it isn’t just painted on, it’s actually made from the same plastic as a real nes controller. it also has some rectangles painted on the top of it while it’s closed to look like the vents on the top of a nes, and the bottom half of the gba is painted dark grey. as well, all the classic nes gba carts are the same color as a real nes cart. it’s pretty sweet really. anyways, that’s my blog for the day. it’s all good.
i now host zackman, the guy who was nice enough to finish heracles 2 for me! yay… ^_- he’s got thingy32 and esperanto and all kinds of crazy stuff. woot.
just released heracles 2 v 1.3. i finally fixed a bug that made zeus say something that a guy in temis said. now zeus says what zeus is supposed to say. i still don’t know quite what caused the bug, but whatever it was it’s gone now. i also made a couple of the goofy sounding townspeople talk a bit more coherently. anyway, this one *should* be it. i’ve been trying to fix that zeus bug since the summer, so i’m pretty happy with myself now. yay… too many patches… =P
heracles 2 v 1.2 released and contest closed. check heracle2.txt for why. by the way, i know an awful lot about the rom now and i’m thinking of writing an editor for it kind of like yousei’s ff3 editor. it would have many less features because it’s such an old rom, but still, you could make a playable nes dragon warrior clone thing. so is it a worthwhile idea? gimme feedback.
ok, consider this to be a contest of sorts. when i translated heracles 2, i did some screwing around with the rom. in fact, i added a secret item somewhere in the game. i dummied it out for the initial patch, but tonight i am re-releasing it with the dummied item put back in. this item cannot be found in the japanese version. it’s a fairly useless item, but it’s mine nonetheless and i’m proud of it. so anyway, the first person who sends me a screenshot of the point in the game where you receieve the item wins. and since there’s text spilling off the edge of the screen and stuff at points, you might as well send me screenshots of that too so i can fix it, just cuz i’m bored. so have fun and keep it spoony. =P
yes, keroppi’s great big adventure 2 is finally complete. consider it an early christmas present. and you had better like it too, cuz it’s all you’re getting from me! nyah!
i’m releasing a translation for a game that isn’t seiken densetsu or even tactics ogre! oh, and i updated the softball heaven patch too. it seems i missed a screen in 2 player mode. not all that important, but if you want the really done one get it. bewm.
akumakun translator position has been filled by the dream doctor of dreamforce, a crazy polish group. now stuff will progress, and when it’s done i’ll even make an official page for it! =P
